Jk! My first day meeting you..."Q lets have a Shot" ( I am unsure how we cannot be blood related) ha I definitely cannot wait to have more Exciting, Random,  and Disgusting (Dana DRunk!), nights and days. So I after my introduction to Australia, I realized that I have to go to school (its quiet surreal)! My first week at the University of Canberra made me feel exactly the same as my first week at San Diego State (Thats my school back home). I felt alone, awkward, and lost as I tried to pay attention to professors that I could barely understand...

The University of Canberra (UC)is quite confusing and looks as though it was once host to an insane asylum. Although all the buildings make no sense because they are numbered in awkward places, the learning process and class selection are actually in favor to the student. :) I am happy to not be fighting with my peers to get into a class packed with no seats! My schedule consists of Lectures and Tutorials (sub-sections of your class). Lectures may also be recorded...so whenever I wake up too hungover to listen to my prof..I may listen to the whole class after some vitamin water and MackerS (McDonalds) ha!

1. Cultures and Diversity (MY FAVORITE)
2. Intro to Marketing
3. Business Finance
4. Human Resources Management (Love the Tutorial)

For the future study abroaders!...
This University is small and has a college town vibe. There is a local bar that is known for its Wednesday's night! "Lighty Tonighty" aka The Light House (I should be getting paid for referencing businesses...yeesh free marketing!) Its location is far from the main city aka Civic...and for people who have never traveled to Australia... Canberra is the Capital...NOT SYDNEY. Although this may not be someones first choice in going abroad I would not change it for the world. It may have been that I lucked out with GrEat Roommates and people I have met but everyone is welcoming! You will never feel lost because people are very friendly and if they are not...they are probably exchange students too! ha

All in all, the studying and assignments are a bit different but not ImpoSSIBLE...the city is close to beach, cute guys, and snow! All I can say now is that I hope I DonT get Attacked by a HuGE SPIdeR because this Place is just GrEAT to not LOVE!..till next time!

Second weeK

Before I begin I want to explain my love for Kangaroos! Before I knew Australia...I only knew of kangAroos...They jump, box, can stick things in their pockets and the one in the commercial gives out great hair products!! I have already seen 4 while being here but have yet to have my camera...my search will continue ...

Second Week
1. Did School stuff like get 5 new ids...all pictures look like i DOnt belong here!
2. Went for a RUn...and played in REs Sports! Also had a trivia where we compared Bush to Homer Simpson... I was from Mexico that day
3. Went to the Light House (Lighty) again!
4. Shopped! and ate sausages...and pasta..

5. oh yea SCHOOL! but i have yet to feel like i have actually started ...PS I only have 1 Aussie Prof...?
6. Multicultural Fair! Which was amazing because they had good food!
7. Told my aussie friends I hate their food..and am now on the search for good ROO meat!
8. Thats about it...and saw DANA DRUNK...ha OH YEA AND CIVIC CLUBS!!!!

Now everyone is up to speed...I would just like to add that what I have learned here is three main things!
1. I sound like an idiot trying to speak australian
2. Sarcasm is welcomed along with cheap alcohol..
3. America drives on the RIGHT side of the road

small blog of ghost roommate!

sooo i had to tell all of my ghost ROOMMATE! She was the one that moved in and left without notice!
As we lived without her for over two weeks...this ghost roommate was a lot more fun GONE than actually living here (even though its only been one day since we met)
My three boy roommates saw her move in and leave within 10min...as we saw no one come in throughout the week stories of her disappearance began.

Number ONE: She had a loss in her family, dog, parents, her...
NUmber TwO: She is hiding under the bed waiting to come out when we are all asleep!
NUmBEr ThREE: She forgot she goes to school here..or is secretly living a double life with someone else
NumBer Four: We decide to look through her blinds for any evidence...
NumBer 5: The rooom now belongs to friends: Amy, Kate, Dana, Robin...
Number Six: She comes home in all black....sketch!

Week 1 + O Week

So in order to remember by first week in Canberra ...aka the Uni or UC as well...I had to upload my photos! Which if you know me...takes me about a year to do! so I will add some photos but most will never be seen because they are not my best moments!!...

My Summary
1. Got off the plane and reeked of two men because I had to be in the middle (plane ride back... 1st class please~)
2. Got to my dorm/ apt/ Globo HOUSE number 7!!! and slept for about 5 hours! After finally getting to know my roommate Dave
3. I have decided to use all real names because all my friends names are generic and with that said I already met 4 Daves (only because i named someone " Not dave")
4. Went to an event and still felt alone because I was the oldest, mexican, and short girl there...then I found my best buddie Goon! haha
5. Then O-Week started..which is orientation week but o-week sounds better! My roomies moved in and we had our drunken bonding..which included me falling down the rail of some stairs. I was introduced to the Goon Bucket..my next best friend and oh yea my roommates and roommate!

5. The ghost roommate which moved in and left and was yet to be found until today (when I decided to start blogging)

7. Found myself being the only American at a Canadian table
8. Drank, boat ride, tour of school, tourist stuff that no one cares about
9. Decided to walk to the Light House (local spot) in a poncho and during a storm...met my soulmates Kate and Dana! haha
10.. cant remember the rest ..soo il go off to the following week! till the next one

NEW BLOGGER

So while taking my 15th nap in one day! yikes! I decided that it was time to do something with my life. (that happens a lot during downtime) It is my third week in Canberra, Australia. If you dont know where that is..it is located 3.5hours away from Sydney..and if you dont know where that is...please stop following my blog and get a map! haha just kidding! :) Anyways...I am attending school here and I have no job and no car.
So unless I feel like be the ideal student (read my profile) then I am either sleeping or mooching off my roommates TV. So as I had my revelation...I decided that i would start a blog! Why? because so far I my pictures say 1000 words and I have said none!
When my friends ask me how everything is...I say its "great! and oh I have done so much!" but having to explain every detail to them over the phone or on facebook is already hw enough...so now..i can reference to my BLOG! I dont plan to have every detail of my trip here (seeing as how I forget a lot from the Goon bucket drinking nights) but I would like to look back on my important adventures! Since I am late and I have started on the 3rd week of my time here I will have to give a short version of past two weeks..which will be on another blog...
